Most cruise websites are built by people who have never sold a cruise, or by companies paid to sell you a particular one. AskCruise is neither, and that is the whole point of it.
Where the judgement comes from
The person behind AskCruise has spent more than a decade in ultra-luxury cruise, first selling it directly to guests, then coaching consultants who did, then running a consumer sales team. Before that, mainstream package travel. The recommendations on this site come out of that, not out of a brochure.

Those figures are rounded down, and no employer is named anywhere on this site. That is deliberate. A recommendation engine that is honest about cruise lines has to be free of any one of them, and the quickest way to compromise that would be to trade on a name. What matters here is that the person setting the rules has actually sat opposite thousands of guests and matched them to ships, including the times it went wrong.
No line pays to be recommended
There is no preferred supplier here, no commercial agreement with any cruise line, and no arrangement under which a line can be featured, boosted or placed higher by paying for it. When the search puts one ship in front of another, the reason is fit and nothing else.
It is worth being equally clear about what this site is not. Nothing is sold here. AskCruise does not take bookings, does not handle money, and holds no financial protection of its own, because it has nothing to protect: every recommendation ends with a conversation, not a checkout.
Prices and availability shown in the search come from a third-party cruise data provider and are indicative rather than a quote. They move, sometimes daily.
What the site actually does
Reads what you write in plain English, rather than making you tick boxes you do not have an opinion about yet.
Matches you against every cruise line it can search, not a shortlist someone paid to be on.
Tells you when it has compromised. If your budget, your dates or your ship size could not all be met at once, the result says which one gave way and why.
Says when it cannot help. Some lines are not in the data at all, and the pages here name them rather than quietly substituting something else.
